  • It's been sometime...

life has been draining.... long working hours.... tight deadlines... n NS reservist coming up... sheesshz :S

Anyways... what happened today, re-enforces my belief that Singapore's administration system (be it public or private) is indeed very efficent. Last Saturday (10th midnight), I decided to make a new passport due to the constant reminder from immigration officers everytime I travel overseas. I made a new one online... which basically means they roll-forward your particulars and ask you to send them a scanned photo for the new passport. Before I knew it, they sent me an email on the 14th.. telling me that my new passport can be collected on the 15th onwards and to make an appointment online to collect if possible. Thus I made an appointment for 17th May Saturday 9am. I managed only to get there at 9:10 or so... The place was packed and I thought I was in for a long wait. I went to the queue ticket machine and they scanned a letter that I received from them (telling me to collect my passport). I got my queue number and checked... It turned out, I was next in queue!! I realised this was probably because of my appointment time. It was even stated on my queue ticket. Thus, I happily got my new passport within 10mins of stepping into the building :D

I bet this isn't possible in Australia :P

  • Work work.. unpaid work :(

    Work work...

It's been such a long time since I last blogged... Almost becoming a monthly thingy.
Work has been tiring & confusing to say the least. Having to do documentation on an application system makes it all the more horrible. So far I haven't been going home really late yet.. and I hope it continues this way (and of course I hope the work is done properly too). But i'm glad that I had a chance to go throught the orientation training program at last. It was nice to meet a few of the new colleagues too.

Church has been good apart from the times when I feel frustrated with things.. I shall not say more.

I think I'm starting to feel the strain and stress of working life. Working as an auditor, serving in church as teen's ministry leader as well as requiring to study for CPA Australia at the same time would surely take alot out of me... I pray that God will give me strength and refudge to overcome all these things as He has always done before.

  • time flies

Wow.. it's been 2 months since I last added anything here. With a blink of an eye, it's Christmas time... means I growing older too... Work has been tiring, always looking forward to weekends where I can sleep in or hang out with friends. But I'm contented that the Lord has really allowed me to continue to attend cell on fridays as well as keep Sunday pretty much a Sabbath :)

The big event for my church coming up is the Christmas eve celebration!
24 Dec - Singapore Life Church
    144 Prinsep Street
    6pm dinner
    7.30 service :)

Hope and pray i got half day on that day :)

  • You Are An ESFJ
    The Caregiver

You are sympathetic and caring, putting friends and family first.
A creature of habit, you prefer routines and have trouble with change.
You love being in groups - whether you're helping people or working on a project.
You are good at listening, laughing, and bringing out the best in people.

In love, you value harmony and mutual understanding.
You will apologize or give someone the benefit of the doubt, if it means getting over a fight sooner.

At work, you are good at building relationships and connecting with people.
You would make a great nurse, social worker, or teacher.

How you see yourself: Organized, dependable, co-operative

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Opinionated, critical, and know-it-all

  • A New Start!

    1st September... a new start...
As of today, I'll begin (and try to substain) a daily Bible study routine using the book "Search the Scriptures". This book is designed in a way that it takes exactly 3 years to completely study the Bible. I have completed the first study already so I'm hoping to substain this :)

On another note... after seeing Liverpool play this season... I'm optimistic that the squad is really so much better! The new transfers have been great! Torres! Babel! Voronin! Benayoun! Boy are they playing well! 6-0! and Derby can't do anything about it!!
